“I have been fortunate to take advantage of some amazingMargin of

Excellence opportunities at West Point, including the Gettysburg Staff Ride,

Men’s Boxing Team, and other cadet club trips and events. These opportunities

have helpedme considerably—to developmy leadership style and tomature

as awell-rounded individual. With these experiences I feel more confident

leading the Corps and leading as a future Army officer. I cannot thank donors

Why did youdecide to come toWest Point?

After participating in JROTC in high school

I realized I wanted to serve in themilitary as an

officer. In doing research on officer routes I came

acrossWest Point anddugdeeper, and I eventu-

ally attended the Summer Leaders Experience.

The programsoldme onWest Point. I was so

confident thatWest Point was the school forme

that I did not apply anywhere else. West Point

was everything I wanted in a school as far as tier

1 academics, the greatmilitary opportunities,

and the incredible leadership lessons.
