“Thank you. I know those words can never truly capture the depth of gratitude

that I feel for the donors who support the Corps of Cadets. Donors provide us

with themeans to challenge ourselves intellectually, emotionally, and physically

inways that we never could have imagined. The trip I went on for theWWI Staff

Ride changedmy life and not many things can do that. Because of that Staff Ride

instead of planning to become a surgeon I nowplan on becoming a psychiatrist

who specializes in post-traumatic stress disorder so that I can help the thousands

of soldiers who come home and desperately need help.”

Why did youdecide to come toWest Point?

I fell in lovewith the values thatWest Point

teaches. My parents recommended that

I apply toWest Point, and although I resisted

in the beginning, themore I was exposed to

West Point themore I loved it. I knew that it

was the place forme because I knew it would

challengeme in everyway, and that I could

eventually become as amazing a person

as every single graduate I met.
